PRESS: New CEO says Russia’s Ford Sollers to break even in 2017

MOSCOW, Jul 11 (PRIME) -- President and CEO of Ford Sollers, a joint venture between Russian automaker Sollers and the U.S. giant Ford, Adil Shirinov expects that the company will break even in 2017, he told business daily Vedomosti in an interview released on Tuesday.

“The short-term goal is to strengthen the financial stability of the company. We must finish this year without a loss. This is number one task for me. We are close to the breakeven point but we need to put in very much effort in order to become lossless after a prolonged period of difficulties due to the macroeconomic situation, due to decline in demand on the domestic market,” Shirinov, appointed earlier in July, said.

The company did not disclose its financial results in 2014–2016, he said.
